This table shows the Level One cost to buy, earnings, time until you reap earnings (in hours), the resulting rate of earnings in terms of earnings per hour, and the energy cost it takes to fully plant or build the item. In three future posts (which I'll link to from here), I'll present similar tables for Level Two (which is here), Level Three (here), and Striiv MyLand Level Four data (here).
Finally, I sum it all up with thoughts about strategy: that post is here.
So. What does it mean?
Top Earners: Although the top three items you can plant in terms of earnings per hour are the Fairy Forest, Acropolis of Heroes, and Great Grandfather Tree, you shouldn't necessarily spring for these items. Why? Each item takes up a different number of plots, so first you'll want to normalize the earnings per plot to learn which plants and buildings earn the most in the limited number of plots you're given. That analysis is here: http://www.bestfitnesstrackerreviews.com/blog/striiv-myland-game-strategy-all-levels-for-coins-gems-and-energy
Finally, you'll want to balance this strategy with how often you're actually going to be harvesting coins. Many of these items are ready for harvest on a frequent basis -- or rather, a too-frequent basis. Unless you want to wear yourself out with constant harvesting, it might make more sense to pick a slightly suboptimal return that allows you to harvest at a more leisurely rate.
